Project Description
The Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank consists of twenty-five floors, mezzanine floor, double height ground floor and three basements, with a double cantilevered steel roof cladded truss with a total height of 125.00m.. This tall structure encompasses many unusual features, which clearly manifest the modern architectural concept. The primary load bearing members in this structure are: the post-tensioned floor slabs, the core walls and columns.
Detailed computer analysis was done for the design of the 2-way post-tensioned floor slabs (as separate entities), and a complete model for the entire building. The later model was created to study the effects of the lateral loads, the building sway, and the P-delta effect.
